Blokarting



The blokart was invented and developed in New Zealand, country cradle of many of the most exciting sports of adventure in the world.
In periodic form competitions and voyages or expeditions are realized in the whole world. Also companies exist dedicated to realizing tourist routes or rentals of these sailboats and several clubs that have developed his own tracks.
From the year 2009, Chile was contagious of this adrenaline and we see that the contagion already expands to Latin America.


The Majorcans Santi Oliver and David Santana they were proclaimed the campeónes of Blokart's World in Oostende's Belgian place this on October 18, 2010. Also the Majorcan Javier Estarellas was raised to the podium as secret third.
In total, the contest assembled 137 participants of a total of 18 countries. There completed the summons of the Spanish equipment Peter Bresnan, Manuel Cavaller, Bartolomé Riera and Mateo Vilariño (of Balears), Jose Enrique Denia (Valencia), Jose Manuel Palomo and Eduardo Cano (Castile and León), the latter with the merit of suffering a fundamental chronic injury that has not prevented him from taking part in this appointment.



Records
 
The world land speed record for a wind powered vehicle was broken on 26 March 2009 by Richard Jenkins in his yacht Greenbird with a speed of 126.1 mph (202.9 km/h).Wind speeds were fluctuating between 30–50 mph (48–80 km/h) at that time.
The previous record of 116 mph (187 km/h) was set by American Bob Schumacher on March 20, 1999 driving his Iron Duck vehicle. Both records were set on Ivanpah Dry Lake near Primm, Nevada, USA.

championships

The last 2008 was held the inaugural World Championship this kind monotype, becoming the terrestrial equivalent of nautical Optimist or Laser classes, making it the ideal candidate to become the first class Olympic sailing on land that was held in Papamoa New Zealand.

European and world championships

One of the largest international events in the sport are the European championships, in which competitors of all classes from all over Europe travel to a sand yachting venue for a week long competition.

North America

In the US, annual competitions are held by local clubs and by NALSA, the North American Landsailing Association. The largest regatta is regularly held the last week of March on the playa at the California-Nevada border near Prim Nevada. The classes sailed in the US include several one-design classes, international class 5 (5 m² class in the US), and open classes solely based on the sail/wing area. The European yachts sail with the appropriate US open class according to their sail area.
Promoting international competition, there are periodic regattas including FISLY and other landsailing nations, mostly on the Pacific Rim. The host and venue of this regatta rotates, and the 2009 event will be hosted by NALSA at the March regatta.

Since then, the Blokart is to become a sports desired by many doing that today bloke championships are held almost throughout the world including in Spain where an already Championships held in Palma de Mallorca, Zaragoza and Valencia






                                Rules.

1 Every driver must compete in compliance with recognized principles of sportsmanship and fair play. A competitor may be penalized under this rule only if it is clear that these principles have been violated.

2 By participating in a race conducted under the rules IBRA, a competitor agrees to:

• abide by these rules
• accept the sanctions and other measures taken under the rules
• with respect to such determinations, not to resort to any court or tribunal not provided for in this legislation

3 Each competitor is responsible for its own decision to participate or continue participating in any event.

4 When two blokarts rolling in the opposite direction as they head into the wind (opposite tacks), the Blokart with the wind from the left will give way to Blokart from the right. A Blokart is on port tack (port tack) when the wind comes from the left ("left") or port ("port"). Similarly, Blokart is a starboard tack (starboard tack ") when the wind comes from the right ("right ") or starboard (starboard).

1 A competitor crossing the starting line early, you must cross the starting line again. 3 A competitor to touch a mark of your Blokart turn, must do a penalty turn 360 degrees as soon as possible.

4 A competitor in the race sanctioned can avoid penalties provided in the rules, making a 360 º as soon as possible after the incident, except for a violation of Rule G.1.

5 A competitor making a penalty turn 360 degrees does not have any rights of way referred to in the regulation and should interfere with the passage of the other competitors.

6 A protest committee may impose any sanction it deems appropriate. May include, but are not limited to:

• time penalty
• penalty points
• Disqualification
